Floral Arranging 101: Bohemian Flower Crown

The flower crown has become a popular item for weddings, parties and gatherings and it’s here to stay! We will learn the techniques for creating these crowns, focusing on balance and design. A fun class to take with a friend and you will be able to wear your accessory home!

Floral Arranging 101: Hello to Summer

When: May 20th, 2018 | 10:00am-1:00pm

You will learn how to create stunning floral centerpieces using seasonal and local blooms. Caitlin will shares secret techniques that enable you to create floral designs worthy of any event you may have. Perfect way to spend a Sunday with a friend or loved one!

You will learn the essentials such as depth, texture, color and flower care. Leave the class with a beautiful arrangement and a professional photograph of your final design. Perfect for sharing with your social media friends! 

Please bring a pair of gardening clippers.

Dutch Master's Inspired Floral Arranging

When: September 9th, 2018 | 10:00am-1:00pm

Where: Pacific Art League, Palo Alto, CA

 

Learn the art of floral design through the lens of the Dutch Masters that are reminiscent of old world still-life paintings. The beauty of this aesthetic is the emphasis on the wild and pure indulgence.


Caitlin will guide you to create a grand compote vase arrangement using local seasonal blooms. Together we will discuss various composition styles and mechanics to develop these sprawling, wild, and rich arrangements that you will be able to take home. Previous floral design experience, such as the Hello to Summer course, is recommended but not required.


Please bring a pair of gardening clippers.
